A Message from our President
Synergy is Moving!
With anticipation, we are preparing to vacate the premises where Synergy has lived for the last 12+ years. We expanded into the adjoining building 7 years ago, and have now outgrown that facility too.
As some of you know, the original core employees here at Synergy Semiochemicals, hail from PheroTech, Inc., where I was president, product development manager and one of its’ founders. It is ironic that we are now moving back to those original premises at 7572 Progress Way in Delta, BC – almost like coming full circle.
Synergy’s focus still remains forestry. Since our inception in 2004, we have updated and/or improved virtually all of our main products. We work with scientists worldwide on research projects and conduct many of our own experiments. This has lead to our new Multitrap platform, a trap that can be converted easily and inexpensively to capture a variety of beetles. Comments from our customers and the scientific community have resulted in our re-design of the original Lindgren trap, the Funnel Trap II. Furthermore, we introduced the novel MCH ‘double’ bubble, which now out sells single bubbles by more than 10-1. Our enhanced Douglas-fir beetle lure catches so many beetles that we have received pictures of fir beetles spilling over the top of the cup. We even had one complaint that it caught too many beetles!
Our state of the art production equipment allows us to make our products quickly and efficiently under strict quality control. Coupled with a sophisticated lab to formulate even the most advanced semiochemical products, we are recognized as being the leader in semiochemical products for the forestry and tree pest industry. Our support staff are caring, customer focused and available to talk directly to our customers.
As always, our products are safe for the environment, using nature’s own messaging system to capture, trick or manipulate beetle behaviour.
Science does not rest, and neither do we. We are continually partnering and collaborating with researchers around the world to keep abreast of the latest developments from the science community. For us, new knowledge means innovative and more effective products with which to protect valued trees.
Thank you to our researchers, collaborators and customers for your support and feedback. We look forward to serving you even better from our new facilities.
